Today, these candy sticks are still made according to the seventeenth century recipe: no additives, no coloring, no artificial flavor, just barley syrup and a unique know-how which gives the oldest candies of France their subtle flavor.



It was in 1638 that in the Notre-Dame-des-Anges priory the Benedictine nuns developed their recipe for a unique candy that would soon delight the highest members of the king’s court, who rapidly came to stock up at Moret-sur-Loing.
